We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At Anglia Revenues Partnership we are currently looking for a Fraud Officer to support the team at Breckland Council. You will join the team on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week and will receive a competitive starting salary of £21,066 per annum.

The aim of Anglia Revenues Partnership is to run an efficient Council Tax collection and Housing benefits distribution service while reducing administration costs to each council. By coming together, each council can save money by pooling resources and staff.

More about the Fraud Officer role

Our professional team of Fraud Officers investigate all reported allegations of Council Tax Fraud, Single Person Discounts and Social Housing Fraud. In this role you will visit, correspond and interview members of the public and liaise with other outside organisations, including Department for Work and Pensions and Registered Social Housing Providers.

Your role will also involve conducting interviews under caution within the guidelines of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act. There will be compliance team and individual targets. There is great opportunity for career development within this role and you will have the opportunity to work at a variety of offices across the partnership in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. 

What we're looking for in our Fraud Officer

We are ideally seeking a team player, who can demonstrate first class service skills by telephone, email and in person. You should also be able to write concise reports for use in criminal proceedings, use your initiative and bring an enthusiastic approach to the role.

You should also have;

- Proven IT skills and you must be willing to use new information technology; previous experience of ACADEMY and COMINO would be a great advantage.

- Knowledge of investigative legislation, fraud investigation experience or have similar previous local government experience.
