The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) is the professional body for pharmacists and pharmacy in England, Scotland and Wales. Due to the increasing activity of our publishing services, we have an exciting career opportunity as a Scientific Writer within Pharmaceutical Press (PhP), the publications division of the RPS.
The successful candidate will assist in coordinating, creating, compiling, editing and producing new content for the diverse range of Pharmaceutical Press products in order to maintain their positions as authoritative sources of information about drugs and medicines.
The ideal candidate would hold a degree in a physical or life science, and have good knowledge of drugs and medicines, in addition to prior editorial experience. Experience in toxicology or pharmacology would also be advantageous. Excellent IT skills and experience in searching scientific databases is very important, as is the aptitude to work effectively within a team and to ensure tight deadlines are met.
